Imago Relationship Therapy Training in Australia

The Basic Clinical Training Programme in Imago Relationship Therapy in Australia is being offered in Sydney in 2012 and is presented in four modules:

Module 1A 2 Days
Module 1B 2 Days
Module 2 4 Days
Module 3 4 Days

Module 1A

Module 1A is a two day introduction to Imago Therapy open to those interested in gaining an overview of Imago Theory and learning about the Imago Dialogue Process.

This Module includes:

  • Experiential Exercises
  • Coaching and Supervision of the Imago Dialogue Process

Theory includes:

  • The Relational Paradigm
  • Understanding the ‘Imago’
  • Neurobiology and Relationship

Module 1A can be attended independently without proceeding further with the training. 

Modules 1B, 2 & 3

Modules 1B, 2 & 3 must be registered for together.

Membership of an approved Professional Association is required for entry on to the programme. Please contact us regarding which Professional Associations meet the entry criteria for Imago Training.

Attendance, with your partner, at a “Getting the Love You Want – Couples Workshop” is a pre-requisite for Module 2, however it is beneficial to attend the workshop as early as possible in the training. The Couples Workshop, must be offered by a Certified Imago Workshop Presenter.   If you do not have a partner, then a friend, relative or colleague will qualify.  Please contact us if you have any queries regarding this requirement.  Brenda Rawlings and Peter McMillan will be presenting a Couples Workshop in Sydney on 23/24 June 2012.

For those wishing to become Certified Imago Relationship Therapists, attendance at six supervision sessions, after the modules is required.  Following this supervision process, a DVD must be submitted for assessment.

Partners, who are not therapists or trainees, are invited to attend Module 1A and can continue with all of the training. The training can impact upon one’s relationship and doing the training together can be a powerful growth experience. Non-therapist partners attend at half-price.
