About Counselling for Lasting, Loving Relationships…
We specialise in counselling couples regarding marriage and relationship issues.
Our aim is to enable couples to experience healing, growth, change, renewal and enhancement of their relationships through our private counselling practice. Creating a loving, enduring and committed relationship can be both the most exciting and the most challenging journey we face in life.
We have found that Imago therapy is a powerful and productive resource, offering both theoretical understanding and practical tools and processes for getting and giving the love you and your partner want. Not only do we continue to grow and learn within the Imago modality, but are constantly updating and expanding our understanding of relationship dynamics through continued learning. Brenda has trained extensively in other approaches, including Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman model, and is currently training as a Neuropsychotherapist with Peter Rousseau.
The Imago Institute for Relationships offers relationship counselling and therapy in Auckland and Warkworth, and can refer clients to other Certified Imago Relationship Therapists around New Zealand as requested.
Couples sessions are one hour and 30 minutes.

You may wish to consider attending a weekend ‘Getting the Love You Want’ Couples Workshop. These are presented by Peter McMillan. They are not group-sharing workshops and are an intensive that covers a ‘lot of ground’ in a short period of time. Fees:
$180 per hour, $270 for couples (1 hour 30 minutes)
